10 steps to selling a home

1) Before Listing

6 - 9 months prior - Research and interview potential real estate agents: Look for agents with strong local market knowledge, positive reviews, and good communication skills. Choose an agent you trust: Select an agent will help determine your timeline to ensure you're ready for the process.

2) Preparing to List

Declutter and Clean: Remove personal items and excess clutter to make your home look more spacious and inviting. Make Necessary Repairs: Fix any obvious issues, such as leaky faucets or chipped paint, to improve your home's appeal. Do you have concerns about the inspection or costs of repairs? Maybe a pre-inspection would help.

Pre-Listing Inspections

A pre-inspection can give you a competitive edge when selling your house. By identifying potential issues upfront, you have the opportunity to make repairs or adjustments before buyers raise concerns. This transparency builds trust with prospective buyers, potentially speeding up the sale process and minimizing negotiation hurdles. Additionally, knowing your home’s condition can help you set a fair and realistic listing price, attracting serious buyers from the start. A pre-inspection demonstrates your commitment to a smooth transaction, giving you confidence and control as you prepare to list your property.

Below is a list of inspectors provided to you as a service. You are welcome to use any one you wish (listed here or through your own research. PLEASE verify ANY inspector you use is properly licensed, as I do not make any guarantees of workmanship.

6) Listing Your Home

MLS and Online Listings: List your home on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and major real estate websites to reach a broad audience. We will create engaging descriptions that highlight key features and benefits of your home.

7) Hosting Open Houses

Schedule Open Houses: Plan open houses and private showings to give potential buyers an opportunity to view your home. Prepare Your Home: Ensure your home is clean, well-lit, and inviting for each showing or open house event.

8) After Listing
